Bone Clocks (2014). David Mitchell

The Bone Clocks (2014) David Mitchell

What if you could live forever? Pretty common topic of SciFi and fantasy – even the Bible. Mitchell compares those who are naturally able to be “reborn” in new body when they die (Horologists) with those who must murder innocents to achieve extended life (Anchorites). We who die and don’t come back are the “Bone Clocks”. Holly Sykes is the central theme of the book and is the central character in the conflict between the factions. I picked it up because I liked Cloud Atlas, which is much better in my opinion. Still Bone Clocks is a good read and more complex then expected.
