Zaleski Trail Run: 10+ Miles of Hill Hell or Trail Runner’s Paradise?

The main loop is between 10 and 11 miles and has almost 1500 feet of elevation change.  Mostly runnable (maybe all runnable for some – not me) and handles weather well.  More switchbacks then Shawnee State.  Similar to Mohican.

Scenic Zaleski Trail Run

I love Zaleski Backpack trail.  There are many great views.  I think this is one of the prettiest sections and it happens to be very close to the parking area.

Scenic Trail Running Views of Mohican, Zaleski, alum Creek State Parks

I have spliced together some of the best (in my opinion) views in these three state parks:  Mohican, Zaleski, and Alum Creek.  It beats the heck out of being on a treadmill!
