Defense vs. Offense: Which Effects Rankings (By The Numbers)

Alabama has the best defense in the country as well as the best balance between offense and defense.  Michigan is a close second on total defense while Clemson and OSU round out the top four on balance.  Washington is not in the top four.  I would not be surprised to see Washington lose to Colorado who ranks just slightly below Washington in the Percentage Balance category.  If Colorado wins, does Michigan steal into the Play Off?  That would be really interesting.  If it happens – you heard it here first (not really).
